Do I need an appointment to try on wedding dresses?
Yes. East Coast Bridals requires appointments to try on our wedding gowns. This allows us to provide you and your guests with dedicated, one-on-one service in a private and relaxed setting. A professional bridal stylist will guide you through our collection, help you explore silhouettes, and ensure your experience is both enjoyable and memorable.
Can I bring outside food or drinks to my appointment?
To keep our boutique comfortable and enjoyable for every bride, we kindly ask that no outside food or beverages be brought in. This does include champagne and other alcoholic beverages. Our goal is to create a relaxed, stress-free environment where you and your guests can focus on finding your dream wedding dress.
How long does it take to get my wedding dress?
Most of our wedding gowns take 5 to 8 months to arrive from the designer. The alterations process typically takes an additional 2 to 3 months, depending on the amount of work needed to achieve the perfect fit. For a stress-free experience, we recommend starting your bridal gown shopping about 9 months before your wedding. This ensures ample time for ordering, alterations, and final fittings so your dress is ready for your big day.
How do wedding dress sizes work?
Wedding gown sizes often run one or two sizes smaller than your everyday clothing, so it’s best not to focus on the number on the tag. Instead, pay attention to how your measurements align with the specific designer’s size chart. Every designer fits differently, and finding the right size is all about the shape and comfort, not the number.
What are your payment policies for wedding dresses and accessories?
At our bridal boutique, we require full payment for accessories and off-the-rack wedding dresses at the time of purchase. For made-to-order or custom wedding gowns, a 50% deposit secures your dress, and the remaining balance is due when your gown arrives in the boutique.
To make your wedding dress shopping experience as smooth as possible, we also offer additional payment options. These can be discussed during your appointment or over the phone, ensuring you can focus on finding your dream gown without any stress.

Do you provide wedding dress alterations?
While our boutique does not have an in-house seamstress, we have carefully partnered with trusted local seamstresses who specialize in bridal gown alterations. Important Note
Alteration costs are not included in the purchase of your gown and are arranged directly with your seamstress. We recommend beginning alterations 2 to 3 months before your wedding to allow ample time for a flawless fit.
